Event #1 – Season Opener

This event is at maximum capacity.

Registration Process: IMPORTANT!!  This event is free of charge to paid FMO members and their crew.  The Marco Island Yacht Club is a private club and does not have the means to track and process payments of attendees’ meals, therefore all participants are required to pay for their lunch in advance using the form below.

Registered participant’s will be given a wristband upon your arrival at Marco Island Yacht Club which will get you into the event and a first class lunch of salad bar, grilled airline Chicken breast, grouper picante, angus sliders, homemade kettle chips, and three deserts.  There is a bar which can accept individual card payments. (no cash)

NOTE: Due to limited docking this event will be capped to the first 40 boats that register. 

Membership: All vessels participating in FMO events are required to carry insurance and have a club membership. Memberships are on a calendar year basis and if you have not yet renewed your membership for 2025 / 2026 or are new and wanting to join the club please visit our website. https://ftmyersoffshore.com/membership

STARTING PROCEDURE:  Captain’s please read carefully.  As usual we will start the run from the Gulf (South) side of the Sanibel Bridge at 11am.  What’s NOT so usual is there will be NO PACE BOAT and NO FLAGGED STAR.  Instead, we will utilize the helicopter to indicate when you should start to get on plane.  Once the helicopter circles a few times and then starts to head south this will be your indicator that you should get on plane at your leisure and run at a conservative pace as a group.  Pete Boden will be flying the event and taking photos from the helicopter.
